I am Juan Ramirez, a Barcelona-based architect, designer, and gallerist/curator, navigating in diverse disciplines and platforms with my works. I firmly believe in harnessing art and beauty as fundamental tools for both improvement and efficiency.

As a co-founder of Matiz Gallery, I contributed across various facets of the gallery's development, engaging in content creation including video and photography, campaign building, graphic design, and curation. Through these efforts, I transformed an unknown space into a thriving art gallery, now a proud member of the Association of Galleries in Catalonia. Our efforts have been widely acknowledged within the art scene, earning recognition from numerous artists and creators
Architecture
Since 2019, I've been actively engaged as an architect and designer at HPP Architekten, contributing significantly to various projects. Notably, I participated in eight architecture competitions, securing a first prize with DESY and a second prize with Kronsberg Süd. My role extended to project management, where I handled client interactions and oversaw critical aspects of projects such as the Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier. Here, I was responsible for developing distribution plans, sections, details, and elevations. Additionally, I played a key role in multiple facade studies for the Dodenhof shopping center.
Design & others
It all began during my time studying drawing at Kunstschule Berlin from 2013 to 2015, under the guidance of Andrei Krioukov. Through drawing and creative expression, I honed my ability to convey myself artistically. Subsequently, following my architecture studies at Hafencity Universität, I delved into various freelancing roles encompassing graphic design and UX/UI design.
At Matiz Gallery, I immersed myself in a multifaceted role where I not only learned but also actively contributed to media creation, campaign building, and artistic production. Over a span of more than 10 art exhibitions, I curated and managed social media and marketing initiatives, playing a pivotal role in the gallery's success.
